Definition
Geofence is a circle drawn around a place, such as a yard, quarry, school or customer site. The app raises an alert when a vehicle enters or leaves it.
Which GPS devices does it work with?
Tracking runs on a Traccar server hosted with the platform, which accepts most GPS devices, including the AIS-140 devices common on Indian commercial vehicles. Each device’s IMEI is linked to a vehicle in the app. Other GPS vendors can be connected through the same adapter when they offer an API.
What does GPS add beyond a live map?
Beyond the live map and route playback, GPS suggests the odometer when a trip starts and ends, raises geofence and over-speed alerts, checks FASTag tolls against the toll plazas actually passed, confirms that hired vehicles were at the customer’s site, and spots fuel bought while the vehicle was parked.

How much does GPS tracking cost?
GPS is an add-on on top of any plan, billed per tracked vehicle per month: ₹75 at launch. The device itself is bought separately from your GPS supplier. Only vehicles with an active device are billed, and the plan price never includes GPS storage.
